So Began the Existence of Death

unfortunately, because of the sizes of the canvases, they were too big to scan so i had to take pictures of them before i dropped them off at the gallery (Crossroads looks slightly different IRL than it does in this picture). the colours got seriously washed out, but essentially that’s how they ended up turning out. not sure if they’ll do good in the show (which is The Other Side Arts’ 7th Annual Women’s Art Show, opening reception this Friday, September 5th), as they (plus Courage Friends) looked completely different from the work they had stacked up to hang. we’ll see, i guess. they didn’t turn me away, but that could be because they wanted my $30 and not because they thought i was any good.
they have another call for artists up for a Latino/a themed exhibit that i might try to do something for. not sure if it’s just for people of Hispanic/Latino background, but if it is technically i can still sneak in. i guess that’s one of the perks of being from a racially mixed family. even though i ended up looking pretty Wonder Bread.
